About me
As Head of Product Design, I lead teams to create innovative, strategic, and data-informed design solutions that deliver measurable results for both customers and the business. I enjoy the opportunity to develop both individuals and teams while contributing to the broader strategic direction, helping to shape the role of design within our products and the company.
A key part of my role is staying hands-on, balancing a detailed focus on design with a wider strategic perspective. I believe in starting with a clear problem or opportunity, fostering collaboration, and using systemic thinking and rapid experimentation to deliver impactful solutions.
Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and two children and enjoy football, music, collecting trainers, and the occasional pub visit.

Following a restructuring of the company and product teams, I was asked to take on responsibility for the product design team and customer experience across TotallyMoney
Leading a team of five, overseeing their development and performance.
Own the end-to-end customer experience across the product.
Working alongside the product director to drive better ways of working and collaborating within product teams.
Ensure product vision alignment across multiple Missions.
Led the evolution of app structure, hierarchy, and navigation principles, elevating the quality of the experience.
Lead/principal-level product designer in a cross-functional Mission.
Launched ‘Affordability Insights’, helping customers understand how lenders assess their financial situation via open banking.

Lead Product Designer
Managing two Product Designers, overseeing their development and performance.
Established and implemented our Product Design Principles
Work within cross-functional teams to help customers understand their credit reports and improve their financial situation.
Collaborate with the Product Manager to define the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Mission.
Reimagined the Credit Report structure to help users better understand their financial situation.
Led the exploration of Open Banking connections to offer loans based on customer data.
Created the “Improve” section of the app, offering guidance to help customers improve their finances.

Principal Product Designer / Design Lead / UX Designer
Whilst the job titles have evolved, the outcome of the job has not, to lead the design and thinking across Auto Trader and its many platforms. Operating as a leader and design voice within cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes for both the business and the end user. Using research and data to inform the design of various areas of the Auto Trader experience including apps, new cars, user accounts and registration flows.
Designed the In-App selling platform for the Auto Trader app.
Reimagined the onboarding, registration, and sign-in process.
Launched wishlist and compare features for both the web and app.
Contributed to launching brand-new cars on Auto Trader’s traditionally used car platform.
Designed and optimised the lead generation process for car dealers.
Evolved the dealer finance process for both the web and app.
Designed and optimised the Auto Trader car review platform.

Auto Trader
B2B Creative Designer
Working closely with the B2B Marketing team my role encompasses all design and production of the communications to our dealer customers from concept to delivery. The work includes HTML email designs, landing pages, flash MPUs, iPad web apps, printed Direct Mail and brochures and everything in between. The role also included the creation of the new Auto Trader Dealer Brand and its respective brand guidelines.

Creative Designer
Role encompassed design and production in support of the Trader Media Group printed titles including re-designs of Top Marques, Auto Trader and Dealer Update magazines.
Design and production of marketing materials in support of the various Trader Media Group channels, including the design of app icons for Auto Trader’s range of mobile products.
Responsibilities also included Trader Media Group branding, including the Goodwood Moving Motor Show designs and various leadership conferences.

My role encompassed the design of the company’s screen media for Somerfield, Wilkinson and Instore supermarkets, client advertisements and other graphics to be shown on the screen, corporate identity, print work and company presentations.

Design and production of listing magazines for Estate Agents throughout the UK from initial design ideas through to the finished printed magazine. Design and production for both print and digital guides for golf courses throughout the UK. Also assumed responsibility during the last 3 months at the company for managing a team of 5 designers.

Graphic Designer
Design and production of product listing catalogues for tools and spare parts throughout the UK and Europe (Italy, Holland and Austria). Role included all relevant promotional materials for these catalogues.
